Colette Murray, MSc has worked as a practitioner, trainer, lecturer, advocate and researcher. She established and coordinates the Equality & Diversity in Early Childhood National Network and is currently the Pre-school Education Initiative for Children from Minority Groups coordinator. Dr Mathias Urban, Reader in Education, works for the Cass School of Education, University of East London, where he is Director of the International Centre for Research on Professionalism in Early Childhood. Colette Murray, MSc has worked as a practitioner, trainer, lecturer, advocate and researcher. She established and coordinates the Equality & Diversity in Early Childhood National Network. She is currently the eist Early Childhood Care and Education Coordinator. She is author of a number of publications on diversity and equality in early childhood care and education. AWESOME!!!

Finally we hear the other side of the story instead of what the media dishes out! Scary how the personal vendetta of Otto, and his outrageous misuse of power tore a family apart. He bribes others in a web of lies that is disproved time and time again. Gotti, on the other hand, can back up his statements with facts that are public record. Over-dramatic public displays of the FBI is a waste of of taxpayer money! Whether you are a fan of the Gotti family or not, this book gives a credible inside look of what goes on behind the scenes of the stuff they don't want you to know. Read this in one day because I couldn't put it down!

I could not stop reading: Very good

Growing up in Seattle, WA I have always enjoyed reading about The Gotti Family. I heard John Gotti Jr. wrote this book by himself and I thought it might be a poor read or poorly written. I was wrong. This book is very well written, it is very interesting and was hard to put down. John Jr. gives a lot of funny and memorable first person stories, names and really takes you along for the ride of what it was like being a Gotti during his father's hey day. It is a long book, very interesting and well worth $9.99. I got my money's worth with this book. Buy it.

John Jr. has some writing skills and should write another book. Good for him changing his life.

No one else could of done a better job other than John Jr

Shadow of My Father by John A. Gotti is for sure a must read. I couldn't put the book down, looking at it from John Junior's point of view, as a father and son, who needed to tell the truth, and setting the record straight. No one else could of done a better job other than John Jr, who turned his life around for the better. Yet John Jr. never disrespected his father and people from the life. I come from Howard Beach, NY and know some of the Gotti's, they are wonderful people. Telling the story, being John Gotti's son, was done with a touch of class. John Jr. writes very memorable stories of the life, and of his father John Gotti Sr, in his hey day, and the way it really was.I am sure John A. Gotti's family are so proud of him, and so am I . A job well done, I highly recommend this book.

About the Author

Luise Roberts worked as a book designer before starting towrite on a broad range of craft subjects. She was taught to knitand sew at an early age and exhibited as an embroiderer beforeturning her attention back to knit and crochet. She lives andworks in London.

Heather Lodinsky has been a professional knit and crochetdesigner for more than 20 years. Her designs have appeared innumerous magazines, and she is a freelance designer for majoryarn companies. She teaches classes at her local yarn shop in Buffalo, New York.

This is one of those books that will be used time and again.

The first thing I want to say about this book
is it isn't just squares.
There are blocks of all different shapes
and sizes.

Luise & Heather have really expanded
the idea of crocheting blocks.
Not only do they use different stitches & colour
to create the different looks,
they also include picture designs as well.

My first impression of the book was fantastic.
The book is spiral bound so there
is no need to have something to keep the book open.
It has a good sturdy cover that will hold
up to constant use.

The book includes 100 crochet blocks that
can be mixed and matched to make
multiple different projects.
They can be used for throws, cushions,
bags, scarves & even toys.

The first section of the book is taken up
with each of the block designs.
Each block comes with instructions in written
& chart format.

Within the block designs the blocks are then split into sections;
Squares (Filet, Stitchwork & Colourwork)
Triangles
Diamonds
Pentagons
Hexagons
Octagons
Circles
Snowflakes
Stars
Flowers

The later part of the book is all about
the techniques used;

I love the fact that no matter what level
of crocheter you will find blocks
that you will be able to crochet.
I also love the fact that in the fitting
blocks together section there are
diagrams of how you can put
different shapes of blocks together.

The block pages have clear large pictures.
I think this is a very good choice as it
makes the design clearer and easier to follow.
Not only are charts provided with the designs
some of them also include colour graphs.

Some of the blocks also have little notes
to help you on your way.

Each of the designs have a modern look
with a traditional twist.
They use a fantastic mix of colours
and could be tailored to your requirements.
