About the Author
Jeff Madura is Emeritus Professor of Finance at Florida Atlantic University. The recipient of multiple awards for excellence in teaching and research, Dr Madura has written several successful finance textbooks. His research on financial markets and institutions has been published in numerous journals, including Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis; Journal of Money, Credit and Banking; Financial Management; Journal of Financial Research; and Financial Review. Dr Madura has served as a consultant for international banks, securities firms and other multinational corporations. In addition, he is a former director of the Eastern Finance Association and a former director and president of the Southern Finance Association. He earned his BS and MA from Northern Illinois University and his DBA from Florida State University.

Clear, Concise, and Easy to Understand

One of the better finance books I have needed for classes. While a little dry, it is straight to the point and all of the equations and their applications are explained clearly within the context of the topic. This by itself is enough to give the book 5 stars compared to a lot of other finance books I have had to use.

Financial Markets and Institutions. This is a really good book that shows you all about financial marketing. All of the tips and tricks to it, how banks work, how the stock market works, and all I need to know about financial marketing. It's a highly recommended book. The only bad thing is that they are really expensive.

Great price for a needed textbook. PROTIP: most textbooks barely change from edition to edition, so do a Google search of their table of contents, and if they match what you need compared to the syllabus, buy the previous edition and use the money you save for beer!
